Meant for You by Sue Tucker

Vocalist Sue Tucker offers us an album of straight ahead jazz standards with one original tune, the title track "Meant for You". That song is also my favourite here, as it stands out as a thoughtful and moody piece. There is a big band quality to much the music, even though there isn't a big band, and Sue's boppish phrasing adds to this impression. She's got a clean sound and a light touch that is pleasing and cheerful. Sue comes from a musical family and they've all contributed here. Get those boys working for you - right on, jazzgrrl.
